Mrs Serena Reser, a pioneer of this county, died Thursday night at ten o'clock at the Indiana State Soldiers' home, her demise resulting from a complication of diseases. She was born in this county, November 29, 1846, and was admitted to the home from Stockwell on June 22, 1906. She was the wife of Henry C Reser, Company G 72nd Indiana Infantry, who is now a member of the home. Besides the husband, two daughters, Mrs Lulu Harrison, Fayette, Iowa, and Mrs Flora B Arnold, of Indianapolis, survive. The husband of the deceased is a first cousin of Alva O , and Dr William M Reser, of this city. ( Lafayette Journal and Courier, Friday, August 6, 1920)
