Mrs. Florida C. Murphy, widow of David C. Murphy, died yesterday morning at her home in Stockwell of cancer of the liver, after a prolonged sickness. She was born February 5, 1850, in Wea township the daughter of William & Rebecca Kirkpatrick. Mrs. Murphy was an earnest member of the Christian church, and she died rich in the respect of all who knew her. She was a member of the Rebecah lodge and took an active interest in the work of the organization. She is survived by one son, Glen Murphy of Clarks Hill; a sister, Mrs. Serene Fisher, of Indianapolis, ; a brother Orth Kirkpatrick, of Thorntown, and two grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow morning from the Methodist church at Stockwell., Rev. C. H. Leeson and Rev. G. W. Wilson officiating. The interment will be in the Johnson cemetery. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
