Robert Brumwell, 75, a Navy veteran and longtime Dutton area farmer, died of complications from heart surgery. He was born in Hatton, ND and graduated from Erskine High School in MN. He served in the US Navy from 1944-46. After his discharge he worked for the Great Northern Railway. He retired from farming in the Power area in 1988 and then moved to Dutton where he drove school bus.
In 1951 Robert married Ruth Knutson in Dutton; she died 22 Aug 1998. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Dutton Senior Center and American Legion in Power.
Survivors include 1 daughter; 3 sons; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; and 9 grandchildre
