He was 76. Mr. Brumwell was born April 18, 1922, in North Dakota, and had been a Grass Valley resident for the past 15 years.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Brumwell had worked as a mechanic for Livingston & Granan Co. for 25 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran, and belonged to the Pearl Harbor Survivor Club No. 6 and the U.S. Navy Submarine Club, both of Sacramento.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Brumwell is survived by his wife of 22 years, Phyllis of Applegate; two sons, and three daughters; brothers, Donald and Charles, both of North Dakota, and Bob of Montana; 11 grandchildren; and a grret grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
