Johnie Quinney, age 81, passed away November 29, 2001 in Stockdale, TX.

Johnie, lovingly known as 'Mom'' by many was truly a respecter of all people. Her home was always open to everyone. One of her favorite quotes was that she lived in the best place in the world, Stockdale. The Lord gave Johnie a victory over the cancer that she fought for so long.

On November 16, 1934, she married Steve Quinney and together they had five children.

She is survived by her husband, Steve E. Quinney; daughter, Anna Adams of Stockdale; sons, Robert Quinney and Joyce of LaCoste, Marvin Quinney and Alene of Stockdale, Will Quinney and Johnnie of Gonzales; sisters, Bernice Smithey and Nellie Phillips both of Stockdale; grandchildren, Roger and Keith Adams, Lonnie, Pat, Lexi, D'Wayne, Jay Lee, and Dallas Quinney and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Rutha Dixon; a son, Bennie Ray Quinney; granddaughter, Karen Denise Quinney; brother, Herbert Dixon.

Service Sunday December 2, 2001 2:00 P.M. Finch Funeral Chapel Stockdale Officiating Wayne DeDear Interment Stockdale Cemetery Finch Chapel will be open for Viewing and Visitation on Saturday, December 1, 2001, 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
