Ten children born to this union:
Harry Chester Fowler
Orval Floyd
Myrtle (Lindsley)
Loyd A.
Elgin
Alvin
Mildred Bernice
Lettie (Parker)
Goldi Grace
Roy B.
OBITUARY: Newspaper clipping probably from Arcadia Champion, April 13, 1906.
DIED
"On Sunday Mrs. E.A. Fowler, after an illness of more than a year, died at her home east of this city. Surrounded by her family of small children and her husband, the mother of the house passed from earthly pain to the great beyond. In our experience we have never known a case in which death seemed so heavy or so merciless. The bereaved family has the sympathy of all, in large and sincere quantities. Mrs. Fowler was formerly Clara Harris, and prior to her marriage lived near Ansley. Since her marriage she has lived east of town with her husband. Nine children have been born to them, two of whom proceeded their mother to the unknown realm.
Funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday, and the remains laid to rest in Arcadia cemetery.
Columns of sentiment avail nothing. The wife and mother is dead. Would that the little children could never realize what their loss is. The sacred word 'Mother' to them is but a memory."
