EPHRAIM FOWLER DIES TODAY
"Funeral services are planned tomorrow for Ephraim Fowler who passed away this morning at Miller Hospital at the age of 84 years. He was born at St. Lawrence, N.Y., August 20, 1872 but has spent most of his life in the west where in 1892 he was married to Clara Harris at Broken Bow, Nebraska. She passed away in 1906 and three years later he was married to Jessie Coe and she passed away in 1928.
For many years the father has had his home with his son Elgin Fowler and family at Floyd. He is survived by four other children, two sons living in Fallon, Nevada and two daughters at Crosbyton, Texas. There are also 30 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
He has four brothers and two sisters living in Crosbyton and one sister at Amarillo and one brother at Fallon, Nevada.
Services are planned for one o'clock Saturday at Wheeler Chapel with burial at Muleshoe, Tex." (Note: Mistake above states he had two daughters at Crosbyton - he had a surviving son and daughter at Crosbyton, not two daughters.)

Funeral services for Ephraim A. Fowler, 81, were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 in Wheeler Mortuary at Portales, N.M. Burial was in the Muleshoe Cemetery.

Mr. Fowler, who had made his home with a son, Elgin Fowler, at Floyd, New Mexico for the past six years, died Friday morning in a Portales hospital.

Born in St. Lawrence County, N.Y. on Aug. 20, 1872, Mr. Fowler moved to Crosby County about 1915. He lived there until 1922 when he moved further west to Bailey County.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John L. Parker of Crosbyton; four sons, Orval and Alvin, of Fallon, Nev., Lloyd A. Crosbyton and Elgin of Floyd, New Mexico; six brothers, Charley of Fallon, Nevada; Jay, Orrie, Glenford, Ralph and Arnal, all of Crosbyton; three sisters, Mrs. C.C. Smith and Mrs. W.L. Parker of Crosbyton and Mrs. Dale Tucker of Amarillo; 30 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.

Mr. Fowler lived in Arcadia years ago. He owned the ranch where Kenneth Brown lives until he moved to Texas in 1915. He was owner of the Prairie Dog Baseball Team for years. He had been in poor health for years preceding his death.
