He married Dorothy (Dot) Marie Richmond in Seattle, Apr 17, 1933. They had four children. Their first child, Margaret Ann Hollis, b. Mar 18, 1936, died at the age of three, d. Jun 15, 1939. The family moved to Homer, Alaska in the early '50s where he operated several businesses until his death in Sandpoint, Idaho while on a vacation trip.
