I am joyfully retired and have a beautiful cabin near Westcliffe/Silver Cliff, Colorado. I am primarily working on the historical obituaries from microfilmed newspapers at the West Custer County Library. The summer months are best for headstone photo requests due to the altitude and snowfall during the winter. Always happy to help anyone doing research in Custer county.
Please note that all headstones in the Silver Cliff Cemetery have been carefully photographed and recorded. Many graves have no headstone or are beyond reading. Please do not request headstone photos unless they are "new".
Also please do not request headstone photos from cemeteries located in Saguache county. On the map it appears that I live near there but actually there is a mountain range between (the glorious Sangre de Cristos) so it is a long drive over there and I cannot do that anymore. Thanks.
