Betty Mae (Coble) Anderson, 76, was ushered to heaven by the Lord's angels on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from her home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Dale L. Anderson, Sr., with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Born on September 24, 1935, in York, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Arnold) and Ralph Coble.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose presence will be deeply missed. She was well loved by many people and touched many lives.
In addition to her husband, Betty leaves 13 children, Dale Anderson, Jr. (wife Barbara) of Manchester, Bonnie Shaffer of York Haven, Glenda Anderson, Deb Slusser (husband Olen), Vickie Anderson (companion Lisa Stewart), all of Manchester, Diane Anderson (companion William Eisenhart) of Hellam, Keith Anderson of York Haven, Kimberley Anderson (companion Charles Shaffer) of Dover, Melinda Watkins (companion Donald Kramlick) of York Haven, Melissa Kerchusky of Lititz, Steven Anderson, Tiffany Hannah, Michelle Anderson (companion Brian Ott), all of York Haven; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granchildren; a brother, John Coble of East Berlin; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Katherine Nace, Donald Coble and Charles Coble.
A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday, December 27th, at the Manchester Assembly of God, 4115 Board Road, Manchester. The service will begin at 12 noon with Pastor Joie Henney officiating. Interment will be in Rohlers Cemetery. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
