Curwensville - John A. Coble, 87, formerly of Dover, entered into rest on December 25, 2018 at Clearfield Hospital. He was the husband of the late Anne I. (Blake) Coble. They were married 50 years.
Born August 4, 1931 in Conewago Township, John was a son of the late Ralph B. and Mary (Arnold) Coble.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and worked as a machinist.
John is survived by a son, Arthur L. Coble of Drifting; two daughters, Beatrice A. Walters and husband, David, of Lewisberry and Julie M. Wolf and husband, Thomas, of York; four grandchildren, Sarah E. Rhodes, David C. Walters II, Philip J. Walters and Amanda L. Coble; and three great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John A. Coble, two brothers and three sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend John's funeral at 10 a.m. and the viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover.
