She married Joseph Kemper Mitchell on July 14, 1939 in Henry County, VA.
She is survived by her husband and daughters Kay Mitchell Burnette and Ruby (Susie) Mitchell Roberts of Eden and sons Jackie Albert Mitchell of Winston-Salem, NC, Richard Kemper Mitchell of Madison, NC and Michael Dillard Mitchell of Reidsville, NC.
She is also survived by granddaughters Ann Elizabeth Mitchell, Susan Kay Mitchell, Brooksye Mitchell and Daisy Catherine Brady and grandsons Joseph Albert Mitchell, Tyler Mitchell and Michael Mitchell.
Other survivors are sisters Mrs. Grace Wilson Karalis of Eden, Mrs. Bessie Wilson Johnson of Columbia, MS and Mrs. Ruby Wilson Harris of Stoneville, NC.
She was a member of Shelton Baptist Church in Pelham, NC.
Funeral services were held at Fair Funeral Home in Eden.
Burial was in Ridgeview Cemetery in Eden.
