Mrs. Brooksye Cox Wilson, 39, of Irisburg, went to be with her Lord at Shackelford Hospital last night as a result of injuries received Saturday afternoon when she was thrown from a wagon at her home.

On returning home from a trip to Spray, NC just as she reached her home, the mule she was driving became frightened and ran away. Mrs. Wilson was thrown violently to the ground causing internal injuries.

She was promptly taken to the hospital, but her injuries were such that little hope was entertained for her recovery.

She is survived by her husband Tyler Albert Wilson and three sons William Wilson, Paul Wilson and Roy P Wilson and five daughters Annie Wilson, Grace Wilson, Bessie Wilson, Ruby Wilson and Daisy Wilson.

Funeral services were held at the residence.
