Mr. Richard Kemper Mitchell, 74, suddenly went to be with his Lord while delivering a vehicle with his tow truck.

He was the son of the late Joseph Kemper Mitchell and Daisy Sunshine Wilson Mitchell.

He was the owner of Ty's Towing Company in Madison, NC and a retiree of American Tobacco Company in Reidsville, NC.

He was of the Christian faith and a very caring person.

He was preceded by his wife Martha Jane Ramsey Mitchell.

He is survived by daughter Brooksye Mitchell Athauda and husband Ambassador Buddhi Athauda of Fairfax, VA and son Tyler Mitchell and wife Michelle Mitchell of Madison, NC and four grandchildren Ruvini Athauda, Keerthi Athauda, Kieran Athauda and Joseph Mitchell.

He is also survived by four siblings Jackie Albert Mitchell and wife Gail Jordan Mitchell of Germantown, TN, Kay Mitchell Burnette, Ruby Mitchell Roberts and Michael Dillard Mitchell, all of Eden, NC.

Funeral services, including the songs "Amazing Grace" and "Rock of Ages", were conducted by Reverend Charlie Carter at Fair Funeral Home in Eden.

Burial was in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden.
