Christina KOCH was born in Russia to Gottlieb and Magdalena KAMMERER January 19, 1898, and departed this world January 9, 1972, at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 10 days.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church at an early age and has been a faithful member through the years. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Guild.
She was united in marriage to John M. KOCH on June 29, 1919, in the Lutheran church. They began their married life on a farm southwest of Shattuck where they lived until 1942, at which time they moved to their present home in Shattuck.
To this union eight children were born, three of whom preceded her in death. Edwin KOCH who was killed in 1944 during World War II, Elsie, who died in infancy and Delores, who was killed in a car accident at the age of 22. Those left to remember her are her husband, John M. KOCH, and five children, Helen (Mrs. Leroy MARQUARDT), Everett, Washington, Esther (Mrs. Odell BOWLES), Shattuck; Lorene (Mrs. Kenneth LEEDY), Chula Vista, California, Willard and Harry, Wichita, Kansas, their wives and husband, 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bert BABITZKE, Canadian, Texas, and five brothers, Gottlieb KAMMERER, Lyndon, Washington, Jake, Duncan, Fred, Amarillo, Texas, Edwin, Darrouzett, Texas, and George, Keyes, nieces, nephews and many other relative and friends.
Christina was a kind and loving mother, wife and a good neighbor to all. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
