Victor L. Gschwender, 85, of Lakeland, Florida died Saturday, 12/13/2008, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to respiratory failure.
He was born March 4, 1923 in Waterville, Ohio to Charles and Anna Gschwender. He moved to Lakeland in 1960. Victor was a retired painter and was employed by Walt Witte & Sons for many years. He was a World War II veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years Doris Gschwender, his brothers Charles, Bill and Al. He is survived by his son Jerry and wife Pauline of Mulberry, granddaughter Michelle Styron of Lakeland, grandson Greg Gsch-wender of Bartow, great granddaughter Kristi Waller of Lakeland, great-grandson, Lucas Styron, and great-great granddaughter Jyllian Waller of Lakeland. He is also survived by his sister Martha Kegley of Ohio, sister Anna Zimmerman of Colorado, brother Joe Gschwender of Ohio, brother Toddy Gschwender of Washington, sister-in-law Freda Gschwender of Lakeland, sister-in-law Marilyn Gschwender of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
