WILLARD P. HARMS, 83, of 1511 E. Kent S., Streator, died at 6:30 a.m. Friday (Nov. 10, 2000) at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
His funeral will be at noon Monday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, the Rev. Jamie Swanson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Streator.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Park United Presbyterian Church or to an organization of the donor's choice.
He was born Jan. 7, 1917, in Rutland, a son of Harm G. and Edna Proctor Harms. He married Audrey Plimmer on Nov. 22, 1942, at Camp Grant in Rockford. She survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Carol (Don) Cooley, Elmore, Ala.; Sandra (Ralph) Pollett, Wilson, N.C.; Susan (John) Sikich, Chicago; and Janet (Mike) Fricano, Bloomington; one son, John Harms, Streator; three sisters, Leora (Lyle) May, Oswego; Myra (George) Lane, Girard; and Wahneta (Carl) Hacker, Aurora; and one brother, Ralph (Katherine) Harms, Rutland; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
