She was born April 20, 1880 at Harman, a daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen Raines VanDevender.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph Harper of Contoocook, N.H., and Daniel Harper of Polk, Ohio; six daughters, Mrs. Ethel Cooper of Dry Fork, Mrs. Ruth Wratchford of Davis, Mrs. Mary Swineford and Mrs. Thelma Myers, both of Ashland, Ohio, Mrs. Elma Lambert of Levels, and Mrs. Norma Jean White of Painesville, Ohio; two brothers, Frank VanDevender of Harman and Walter VanDevender of Idaho; 46 grandchildren and 84 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Harper was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Dry Fork.
