Parsons, W. Va. - Daniel B. Harper, 76, lifelong resident of the Harman and Dry Fork sections where he was a farmer and blacksmith died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital, Clarksburg.
He underwent an operation a few days ago.
Mr. Harper was born March 15, 1868 at Harman.
His parents were the late John D. and Elizabeth (Simpson) Harper.
He also leaves 33 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Union Church, Dry Fork, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Spaid, pastor of the United Church of the Brethren.
Interment will be in the Harper Cemetery.
