Parsons, W. Va. - B. F. Harper, 53, of Moore, near Parsons, died Friday in Tucker Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

A native of Harman, he was a son of Mrs. Anna (Vandevender) Harper, Dry Fork, and the late Daniel B. Harper.

Mr. Harper was employed for thirty years as a trackman for the Western Maryland Railway.

He was a member of Moore Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his mother, are his widow, Mrs. Effie (Varner) Harper; nine sons, Frank and Harry Harper, both of Ravenna, Ohio; Carl Harper, Clarksburg; Alfred, who is stationed in Washington with the Army, and Willard, William, Thomas, John and James Harper, all at home; two daughters, Anna and Arbutus Harper, both at home; six sisters, Mrs. Ethel Cooper, Stringtown; Mrs. Ruth Wratchford, Davis; Mrs. Thelma Myers and Miss Mary Harper, both of Ashland, Ohio; Mrs. Elma Lambert, Levels; and Mrs. Norma White, Dry Fork; three brothers, Norris Harper, Ashland; Ralph Harper, Bristol, Conn.; and Jeremiah Harper, Buckhannon, W. Va.; and four grandchildren.

The body is at the Greenlief Funeral Home where services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Rev. W. A. O'Dell, pastor of First Methodist Church, will officiate and interment will be in the Moore Cemetery.
