Funeral services for Richard F. Hau, 71, of Route 1, Glenbeulah, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Armstrong.
The Rev. Wayne Barka will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 8:45 p.m.
Mr. Hau died Monday, May 2, 1988, at his home following a lingering illness.
He was born Jan. 1, 1917, in St. Cloud, a son to August and Julia Steffes Hau. On Sept. 27, 1944, he married Marjorie Schockmel in Armstrong.
Mr. Hau attended St. Cloud Catholic Grade School and farmed in Greenbush from 1942 to his retirement in 1981. He was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Armstrong, the church's Holy Name Society and the Greenbush Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mary Carol Smuda and her husband Jeff of Lombard, Ill.; four sons, Daniel of Milwaukee, Tom and his wife Linda of Kiel, Richard Jr. and his wife Peg and Eugene and his wife Lisa, all of Glenbeulah; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Wimberger of Eden, Mrs. Aurelia Olig Jones, Margaret Anders and her husband Edmund, Josepha Phalen and her husband Miles, Wilma Smedberg and her husband Carl, all of Fond du Lac, and Rose Sippel and her husband Francis of Mount Calvary; four brothers, Gregory of St. Cloud, Ervin of Mount Calvary, Joseph of Fond du Lac, and Roger of Sun Prairie. A brother, Albert, and one grandson preceded him in death.
Memorials may be directed to Wisconsin Council for the Blind, Visiting Nurses Association or The Parkinson's Foundation.
