The death of Mrs. Sophia Roth occurred Saturday night at 10:20 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Cain, 2928 Cason street. Her death is attributed to the infirmities of age. Deceased was the widow of Barney Roth and was born in Baden, Germany, eight-two years ago. She was one of the best known German woman in the city, having resided here nearly fifty years. She was a woman of true Christian character and many good deeds she had done during her life caused her to be admired by all who knew her. The following children survive: Mrs. John Cain, Mrs. Chas. Zink, Mrs. Mary Meyer, Mrs. Balser Katzman, and Steven Roth. She leaves 37 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted from St. Boniface church at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning and the interment will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
