She married Carl (Charles) Zink on 24 Dec 1870 in Tippecanoe County. Carl's mother, Magdalena Durr Zink, and Helena's mother, Sophia Durr Roth, were sisters. Helena and Carl had the following children: Albert, Sophia (Bollock), Magdalena (Hatke), Catherine (Halsema), Anna (Hatke), Bernard, Helen (Murphy), Walburga, Bertha (Halsema), Josephine (Halsema), Adaline (DeHahn), Maria, and Lillian (Anderson).
