---Zula Ellen McVay, 71, of Novinger died Monday morning (July 19, 1993) at the Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center.
---She was born September 14, 1921 at La Crosse, the daughter of James and Rhoda (Gunnels) Easley. On June 27, 1944 in Kirksville, she married William Nelson McVay, who preceded her in death.
---Also preceding her in death were one brother and her parents.
---Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Johnson of Green Castle; two sons, William and Daniel, both of Novinger; two brothers, Roy Easley of Kirksville and Sanford Easley of Hemitite; three step-daughters, Edna Brumback of Kansas City, Peggy Lou Noble of Kansas and Lola Bell Neal of California and seven grandchildren.
---She was a member of the Methodist Church.
---Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (July 21, 1993) in the Pollock Funeral Chapel in La Plata. Burial will be in the Chariton Grove Cemetery at Gifford.
