George Washington Brooks, SINGLE, son of Harvey Elsberry & Martha Menurvie "Nurvie" Jones Brooks.

OBIT:

George W. Brooks, aged 22 years, died Saturday, November 23, 1940 at his home near Kelso. Funeral service was conducted Sunday at the Liberty Church by Elder C. C. McQuiddy. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey E. Brooks; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Whitfield, Mrs. W. M. Tucker, of Lincoln County; Mrs. Darnell Tucker of Madison, Alabama; five brothers, Henry, Euler, Erby, Elzie, and William Brooks.
