Erby James Brooks was the husband of Clyda Mae Martin (Brooks) 1913-1996. Son of Harvey Elsberry Brooks 1879-1961 and Martha Menurvie "Nurvie" Jones (Brooks) 1881-1950. Father of Willa Dean Brooks, James Clayton "Bud or JC" Brooks, Annie Sue Brooks, John Douglas Brooks and Nina Ruth Brooks.

OBIT:

Erby J . Brooks, a farmer and dairyman
of Fayetteville, died Thursday of an
apparent heart attack, while working at
the farm of Mr. & Mrs. Bill Posey on
Winchester Highway. He was 66 years old.

Services were Saturday morning in the
Chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home chapel,
with J.B. Gaither officiating. Burial was
in the Stewart Cemetery.

A native of Lincoln County, he was the
son of Harvey and Martha Jones Brooks.
He was a member of the Liberty Church
of Christ.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Clyda Mae
Brooks; three daughters, Mrs. Willa Dean
Meeks, Mrs. Annie Sapach and Mrs.
Nina Griffin, all of Fayetteville; two
sons, Buddy Brooks and John Douglas
Brooks, both of Fayetteville; three
sisters, Mrs. Bessie Norman and Mrs.
Margie Tucker, both of Fayetteville,
and Mrs. Lorene Tucker of Elora;
two brothers, Bill Brooks of Petersburg,
and Elzie Brooks of Fayetteville; 16
grandchildren and one great-grand-
Child.
