Matt Von Ruden, 74, Claremont, passed away Monday morning at Fairview Rest Home where he lived for the past year. A native of Havana Township, he was born July 27, 1889, and he and Myrtle Ohrmann were married in 1921. They farmed in Dodge county until her death in 1951, and he retired the following year. Surving are three daughters, Mrs Marvin (Bernice) Behne, Mrs. Oliver (Elaine) Clark Jr. of Austin and Mrs. Gordon (Mataleen) Eastman of Owatonna. Also surving are seven grandchildren; two brothers, George of St. Paul and Henry of Claremont; and three sisters, Mrs Mary Ohrmann, Miss Elvina Von Ruden and Mrs. Amos Lehmann, all of Claremont. Services held at Claremont Presbyterian Church, Rev. William L. Robertson of Owatonna, officiating, interment, Hillside Cemetery, Claremont, Minnesota.
