Mrs. Mary (Von Ruden) Ohrmann died Sunday in Owatonna City Hospital at the age of 87 yrs. She has been a life long resident of this community.
The former Mary Von Ruden, was born October 15, 1877, in Havana township, Steele County. She was married to William Orhmann May 20, 1896. Her husband preceded her in death in 1931.
Following her marriage, the couple operated the skimming station at Stark's Corner for eight years, then lived on the farm west of Claremont for 12 years. They then moved to Claremont where he was in the garage business and operated the pool hall.
Mrs. Ohrman was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Claremont and of the Ladies Aid of that Church.
She is survived by one daughter Mrs. James (Magdalena) Epps of Rochester; two sons, Alfred and Harold of Claremont; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers George Von Ruden of St. Paul and Henery Von Ruden of Claremont; and one sister Mrs. Amos (Lena) Lehmann of Claremont.
Funeral services were conducted Wednessday at 2 p.m. in Peace Lutheran church with Rev. Harvey Ehlers officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetary.
Two hyms, requests of Mrs. Ohrmann, were sung by Mrs. Harvey Ehlers and Mrs. Warren Buss: "Asleep in Jesus" and "Be Still My Soul". Mrs. Harold Wobig was organist. Pallbears were Arvin Epps, George Jirousek, Lyle Anderson, Hugo Von Ruden, Albert Logrehr and George Von Ruden.
