Floyd Shetzer, 55, a former Grand Rapids contractor and carpenter, died this morning at the Wood County Home. He had been ill 3 years.
A native of Portage, Mr. Shetzer spent most of his life in Grand Rapids until he moved to Fremont three years ago. He was born in Portage April 27, 1901, to Joseph and Mary Jane (Luce) Shetzer. His mother died in October, 1954.
Suvivors include his Father: Five daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Scott, of Rollersville; Misses Ferney, Caroline and Marlene, all of Bowling Green; and Madelyn of Oceanside, Calif; six sons, Floyd Jr., Robert and Ray, all of Bowling Green; William Joseph, of Camp Pendelton, Calif.; Richard, of Chicago; Thomas, of Virginia; a sister, Mrs. James Reed, of Bowling Green; three brothers, Lawrence and Ted, both of Bowling Green and Ralph, of Clyde; and 10 grandchildren. A son, Danny, died in infancy.
The body is in the Anderson Funeral Home, where the Funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m.
