P.A. Dimmers Hampton Resident, Passed away Sunday, Had lived in vicinity for past 30 years; rites held Wednesday
P.A. Dimmers, aged 74 years passed away Sunday at the Schmitz Rest Home, Hastings, where he had spent the past 13 1/2 months.
With his parents the late Mr. & Mrs. John Dimmers he came to Hampton some 30 years ago. He was never married and made his livelihood as a laborer, working for local farmers and at times assisting at the coinmander elevator.
The remains lay in state in the A.T. Daleiden Funeral home until Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. when services were conducted in St Mathias Catholic church and interment was made in the church cemetery.
Acting as pallbears were Carl Rother, John Wollmerinh, John Nicolal Sr., Ferdinand Endres, Erwin Henning and George Herschback.
Rev. N.P. Gillen of St. Mary's Church, New Trier officiated at the Requiem Mass and also at the final grave rites during the absence of the residing pastor. surviving the deceased are one brother and several sisters.
