Services for Ethel Leona Heuer, 95, Red Oak, will be Friday, March 1, at 2 p.m. at Nelson Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. The Rev. Roger Maize will officiated and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa. She died Sunday, February 245, 1991 at Valley Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Arizona, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Heuer was born May 27, 1895 in Red Oak to Franklin and Jennie Mae (Culver) King. She graduated from Red Oak High School in 1913 and taught country school for a short time. She married Herman J. Heuer in Montgomery County June 2, 1915, and the couple operated the McPherson Store for several years. A homemaker, she was a member of Hawthorne Methodist Church.
Family visitation is Thursday, February 28, from 7-8 at the funeral chapel in Red Oak.
Survivors include two daughters, Anna Mae Click and Opal Click, both of Mesa, Arizona; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Vera Cozad and Dorothy Lindsey, both of Red Oak, and Verna Carroll of San Diego, California.

They were married on June 2, 1915 in Rural Route, Emerson, Iowa near McPherson by William N. Whear, minister. Witnesses were Lester Cozad and Vera King.
