IOWA CITY

Dorothy A. Quinn, 73, of 804 E. Jefferson St., died Monday evening in University Hospitals after a brief illness. Services 10 a.m. Friday, St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, James; two sons, James W. of West Des Moines and Mark of Solon; four daughters, Mary Ehrenfelt of Wellman and Carol Karsten, Anita Ruppert and Kristine Quinn, all of Iowa City; a sister Phyllis Hopp of Iowa City; and three brothers, Harry Aicher of Iowa City, Richard Aicher of West Branch and Thomas Aicher of Albuquerque, N.M.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian and two brothers, Jack and Bill.

She was born March 23, 1918, in Iowa City, the daughter of Harry A. and Zola C. Aicher, and married James H. Quinn on Dec. 3, 1938, in Iowa City. She attended St. Mary's grade school, Iowa City High School. Irish Business College and University of Iowa. Mrs. Quinn was involved in the moving and storage business most of her life and most recently was the operations manager for Stannard Bekins Moving and Storage in Coralville. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
