Phyllis A. Hopp passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Legacy Gardens in Iowa City, Iowa.

Phyllis' family will receive guests for a Celebration of Life at the funeral home (2720 Muscatine Avenue, Iowa City) on Tuesday, October 11, from 10 – 12 pm, with a prayer service at 11:30 am.

Phyllis was born in Iowa City, June 26, 1926, daughter of Harry Sr. and Zola Aicher. She graduated from City High in Iowa City and then was married to Wayne Hopp.

Phyllis was a 50-year employee of the University of Iowa in the offices of Guided Correspondence Study in Seashore Hall. Following her retirement from the University of Iowa she worked in the office at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Phyllis loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, spending time with friends and family; and always had chocolate chip cookies, fudge, or pumpkin bars to share with family and friends.

Phyllis' family include her brother Tom of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many nieces, nephews and their children. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her parents, Harry and Zola; brothers, Harry Jr., William, Jack, Richard; and sister, Dorothy Quinn.
