Walter E. Norden, 89, of Farnam died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Cozad Community Hospital. Walter was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Ansley to Fred and Laura (Patrick) Norden.

On Dec. 24, 1956, he married Emma (Tim) Gould. She died in 1994. On Oct. 11, 2000, he married Betty (Swanson) Remus in Broken Bow.

Survivors are: wife; sons Jack of Laferia, Texas, and Wayne of Kearney; sisters, Mary Thompson of Yuma, Ariz., Delores Sale of Cozad and Ann Adle of Norfolk; four grandchildren; stepdaughters, Pat Baker of Curtis, Pam Clark of Rowett, Texas, Linda Williams of North Platte and Janet Papninaho of Spicer, Minn.; five stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

Burial was in the Ansley Cemetery, Ansley, NE.
