Mary L. Thompson, 94, of Yuma, AZ formerly of the Kearney area died Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Yuma. Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney with Pastor Dean Pofahl officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery near Gibbon. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements.
Mary was born March 18, 1918 in Ansley, Nebraska to Fred and Laura (Patrick) Norden. She married Edward H. Thompson on November 20, 1970 in Gibbon. She moved to Yuma Arizona in 2006.
Surviving relatives include her daughters; Loretta Sickler of Yuma, AZ, Ruby Schulte of Lexington, NE, Darlene Welsh of North Platte, NE, son Angus Cameron of Laughlin, NV, brothers; Paul Norden of Lexington, NE Max Norden of Litchfiled, NE, sisters; Delores Sale of Cozad, NE, Ann Adle of Norfolk, NE, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 22 great great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Edward H. Thompson.
