She was born May 6, 1930, in rural Ansley, Nebraska to Fred E. and Laura G. (Patrick) Norden.
She married Elvon Jack "Shorty" Sale on September 18, 1946, and they settled in Cozad in early 1950. She worked as a waitress at Norm's Cafe and The Dixie Inn and then later as an employee at the F & S Meat Packing Company, all located in Cozad. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Cozad.
She is preceded in death by her husband, E. Jack Sale; two sons, Merle Dean Sale and Billy Eugene Sale; her parents and all 9 of her siblings, Emma, Helen, Mary, Paul, Walter, Max, Delsie, Anna and Katherine.
Survivors include two daughters, Clare McGuire of Belton, TX and Barbara Schultz of Olathe, KS; seven grandchildren, Sherry (Joel) Habor of Albion, NE, Jamie (Brenda) Sale of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Paul McGuire of Midland, TX, Jeremiah (Kristen) Schultz of Gardner, KS, Matthew (Shelly) Sale of North Platte, NE, Malana Miller of Temple, TX, Nicole Schultz of Olathe, KS, and many wonderful great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Cozad with Pastor Susan Sukraw officiating.
Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery.
