Max W. Norden, 91, of Litchfield died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at St. John's Good Samaritan Center in Kearney.

Graveside memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Litchfield Cemetery with Derek Apfel officiating.

Inurnment will be at Litchfield Cemetery.

Max Weldon Norden was born May 30, 1924, in Custer County to Fred and Laura (Patrick) Norden.

He married Sophie Hansen on May 30, 1942, in Litchfield.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Elvon and Christa Norden of Security, Colo.; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Ken Hess of Mustang, Okla., Carol and Rick Davis of Kearney and Bonnie Soucek of Broomfield, Colo.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Norden of Lexington; sisters, Delores Sale of Cozad and Anna Belle Adle of Norfolk; and sister-in-law, Lora Gonser of Collinsville, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother and five sisters.
