Mrs. Fred Land Dies Following Lengthy Illness
Mrs. Fred (Eva) Land, 71, of 415 N. D, died Monday at 2:25 p.m. in a Tuttle nursing home following a two-year illness. A resident of the Duncan community since 1938, she was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. she was born Oct. 25, 1895, in Denton County, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Fred, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. George Teague and Mrs. Lawrence Kosfeld, both of Oklahoma City; a son, Leo, Oklahoma City; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Main, Tuttle; two brothers Wade and Homer Moore, both of Walters, and five grandchildren (4). Funeral for Mrs. Land will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Roses at Carter-Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. _____ Wade, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church will officiate, burial will be in Duncan Cemetery under direction Carter-Smart Funeral Home.
