Murdered DEA Agent. It is believed that Special Agent Camarena's death actually occurred on February 9. His body was discovered on March 5, 1985. He was 37 years of age at the time of his death. He was in the U.S. Marines and a Fireman/Police officer in calexico California in the 70s also he was a narcotics investigator for the Imperial County Sheriff Coroner before he was a DEA agent in the early 80s and then was brutally killed and tortured on Feb 7th 1985 when a drug cartel found out he was working with The DEA. And for his heroic battle against Drugs in America we celebrate RED Ribbon Week the last week of October every year.

In 1990 they made a us TV mini-series Drug Wars: The Camarena Story, starring Steven Bauer, Benicio Del Toro, Craig T. Nelson, Treat Williams...
