Fannie E. Webber, 82 years, a resident of Alfred Road, West Kennebunk, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday evening, March 25 at her residence following a long illness.

She was born October 24, 1926 in Kennebunk, the 8th of 12 children to Grace (Gerrish) and Fred W. Cole.

Fannie attended Kennebunk Schools and went on to work at Kesslen Shoe until it closed in the mid 1970's and then was employed at Costar, formerly known as Morningstar, in Kennebunk until her retirement in 1980.

Mrs. Webber enjoyed math and history and was very interested in genealogy. She was a member of The Landing Chapel of Kennebunk.

She was predeceased by her husband Woodrow Webber; a daughter Carol Webber; three brothers, Stanley, Lloyd and Fred Cole; four sisters, Iva Dowd, Alberta Pierce, Effie Patch and Freda Chadbourne.

She is survived by her granddaughter Bonnie Webber of West Kennebunk; step-daughter Joan Maynard of Scarborough; two brothers, Charles Cole of Kennebunk and David Cole and his wife Carol (Dennett) Cole of West Kennebunk; two sisters Katherine Ames of Kennebunk and Laura Palmer of Thomaston, GA; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lloyd Cole and Mrs. Fred Cole, both of Kennebunk; many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Monday, March 30, 2009 from 4-8PM at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10:30AM. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Fannie's memory can be made to The American Diabetes Association, 163 Lancaster Street, Suite 98R, Portland, ME 04101.
