Thorndike – Dec. 18, 1960 – Marshall F. Cole, 52, died at a Waterville hospital Saturday following a long illness. Born at Linneus August 26, 1908, he was the son of Frederick W. and Lula (Duval) Cole. He was a member of the Church of God of Thorndike.

Surviving are his father, Frederick Cole of Kennebunk; his wife, Gertrude Cole of Thorndike; seven sons, Lewis, George, Lawrence, Richard, Nelson, Marshall Jr., Stephen all of Thorndike; three daughters, Mrs. Janette Hayes of Unity, Marilyn L. Cole of East Hartford, Conn. and Brenda Cole of Thorndike; several half brothers and sisters; several nieces, nephews and cousins; one uncle and one aunt; six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Church of God in East Thorndike Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. William A. Grant of Portland officiating. Interment will be in Center Cemetery, East Thorndike.
