When Amos Leo Saulsbury was about 24 years old he was working in the oil fields as a tool dresser, in the area of Maricopa, Kern Co., California, when pretty little lady, named Marion Wilson, that was the Stenographer at the Oil Workers Union caught his eye. They were both single when the census taker called during the first few days in February. They were apparently in love at that time, because soon after that they were married. Marion presented him with a baby boy the following year on May 3rd. During their 44 years of marriage they had 5 children. They are:

He married Isabelle Randall 19 Feb, 1860 and was living in Alameda, CA. Later living in Guadalupe and Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, CA.
