Ernest was the husband of my first cousin, Mabel Harbert. Ernest Saulsbury married Mabel in Fresno Co., on December 14, 1915. The first that I remembered meeting them was when I, Audrey DeCamp, was about 7 years old. We were living in Santa Barbara and my dad, who was a carpenter, was working on the Fox theater. He took us to Ventura where, Ernest, Mabel, and their baby boy were living. I never remember seeing them again until about 1950. They were living in a new house upon the Mesa south east of Arroyo Grande, next door to my Aunt Fanny DeCamp Long. From then until they passed away I saw them once or more times a year. They moved to a new home in Arroyo Grande, where I met several of his Saulsbury relatives over the years.

I had the honor of attending Ernest's funeral, and the opportunity to again visit with several of his Saulsbury relatives.
