Graveside services for Waldo Griffin, 64, who died at his home in Valdosta, Tuesday July 5, 1983, were conducted Friday morning at Henderson Chapel Church cemetery near Holt, Ga. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

A native of Irwin County, Mr. Griffin was born August 7, 1918, the son of the late Arthur Griffin, Sr. and Sophronie Paulk Griffin. The owner and manager of Tires and Wheels, Inc. in Ocilla, the deceased had lived in Valdosta for the last 10 years. Prior to opening his store, he had served for a number of years as a tire salesman. He was a member of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Valdosta.

His wife, Mrs. Lois Moore Griffin, preceded her husband in death in January 1983.

Carson McLane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
