Cody Bowman, 84, of Huntsville, died Nov. 3, 2011, at the Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. He was born July 31, 1927 at Loy, the son of Henry and Callie Lyman Bowman. He was a farmer and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Walter Sanders, Otis Sanders and Vester Bowman and by two sisters, Dalphia Cornett and Alma Carson.
Survivors include his wife, Glenna Alberta Hawkins Bowman of the home; one sister, Maxine Dennis of Aurora; one sister-in-law, Vivian Bowman of Huntsville; 11 nephews and nine nieces.
Funeral services were on Monday, Nov. 7, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverends Doug McClure and Alex Foster officiating. Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home - www.brashearsfuneralhome.net - of Huntsville. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family received on Sunday at the funeral home.
