Vester Bowman, 83, of Huntsville died Feb. 22, 2006, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Loy to Henry and Callie Lyman Bowman. He was a farmer and a longtime member of the First Assembly of God in Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Vivian Dennis Bowman of the home; two sons, Earl and Janice Williston of Owasso, Okla., and Lindell and Laura Bowman of Alta Loma, Calif.; one brother, Cody Bowman of Aurora; three sisters, Delphia Cornett and Alma Carson, both of Huntsville, and Maxine Dennis of Aurora; six grandsons; nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Huntsville with Brad McMath and Noble Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Venus Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Myers, Ronald Dennis, Mike Dennis, Keith Cornett, Clarence Carson and Jim Cornett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Cornett, Kenneth Cornett, Gary Cornett, Clint Cornett, Carmen Cornett, Carmen Carson, Dale Dennis, Tim Dennis, Eugene Dennis, Kevin Dennis and Jerry W. Samuels.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
