Miss Edna Adrian and Mrs. Violet Powell went to Goodland, Kans., today to attend the funeral services Saturday of their brother, Roy Adrian, who passed away Tuesday evening as the result of a heart attack. Mr. Adrian was 70 years of age. He came to Nebraska in a covered wagon with his parents in 1886, and resided in the Nora community until 1913. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Roy Adrian, son of George and Martha Adrian, was born near Grimes, Ia., April 25, 1883, and departed this life on July 7, 1953.
He came to Nebraska in 1886 with his parents in a covered wagon and grew to manhood on the farm near Nora, Nebr. When a young man he united with the Methodist church at Nora. He was united in marriage with Lillie Bailey on Dec. 23, 1903, and to this union two daughters were born: Mrs. Audrey Post of Goodland, Kan., and Mrs. Beryl Owens of Edson, Kan.
In 1913 the family moved to Edwing, Nebr., where he was engaged in farming. About 1925 he moved to Edson, Kan., where he has resided since. His chief interests in life were his family and his farming activities. He was a staunch Mason and proudly wore his 25 year pin, having been a Mason for 43 years.
He recently attended a family reunion in the Nelson park where he enjoyed a visit with all his brothers and sisters and many relatives and friends.
Besides his widow and two daughters he is survived by three grand-daughters, Sharon, Sandra and Linda Owens of Edson, Kans., and four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hoag, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Annie Sherman, Chapman, Kan., Mrs. Violet Powell and Edna Adrian of Nelson, Neb., and three brothers, Glenn of Dodge City, Kan., Sidney and Wayne of Wichita, Kan., and many other relatives and friends. One brother, Clyde, preceded him in death in 1935.
The immediate cause of his death was a heart attack. He had just finished his harvest and was returning home with the last truck load of wheat, when he realized he could not drive farther and stopped at the highway where he was found and taken to the hospital in Goodland, but passed away that evening about 10 o'clock.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in Goodland Saturday and he was laid to rest in the Goodland cemetery (sic). The Masons had charge of the graveside rites.
