Mrs. Martha Adrian, wife of Geo. Adrian, died at their home northwest of Nora, Wednesday morning. Deceased was born March 8th, 1962, being 57 years, 9 months and 2 days old at the time of her death. She was taken sick on Thanksgiving Day and creeping paralysis was the direct cause of her death. The funeral will occur tomorrow from the M.E. church (sic) at Nora. Undertaker Roby of this place, has charge of the funeral.

Martha Matson was born at the farm home of her parents in Warren county (sic), Iowa, on March 8, 1863, and died at her home near Nora, Nebr., December 10, 1919. She was united in marriage to George Adrian, in Dallas county (sic), Iowa, October 14, 1880. She is survived by nine children and fourteen grand children, most of whom were present when she passed away. The children are: Myrtle Hoag, Anna Sherman, Violet Powell, Edna, Roy, Clyde, Glenn, Shirley and Wayne.

Mrs. Adrian was a member of the Nora Methodist church (sic) and lived a consistent Christian life. Together with her devoted husband they withstood for many years the discouragements of home-making on the prairies of Nebraska and helped to make the desert blossom like the rose. Her distinguishing traits of character were frugality and industry, always ready to sacrifice for the comfort and happiness of others.

Besides her immediate family, Mrs. Adrian leaves many relatives and friends to mourn her death.
