Born July 6, 1920, in Oxford Twp., Adams Co., she was the daughter of the late Clayton L. and Sonora S. (Renoll) Laughman.
Mrs. Brady was employed with the former FX Smith Cigar Factory for 18 1/2 yrs. in McSherrystown. She was also employed with Autokraft Box Co. and Oxford Container, Hanover.
Almeda was a member of the Hanover Moose and the Hanover Eagles and also St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Hanover. Her hobbies included gardening and flowers especially roses, yard sales, public auctions, flea markets and doll collecting.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are five daughters and four sons: Dawn Kuhn and husband Francis, of East Berlin, Jo Ann Douglas and husband Richard, of Lafayette, LA, Dorothy Loder, Thomas Brady and wife Judy, Kay Brady and husband Gordon, Bradley Brady, Norma Wagner and husband Chris, Arlington Brady, Joseph Fabian Brady all of Hanover; three sisters: Catherine Withers, of McSherrystown; Henrietta Reaver, of Hanover; Pat Baker, of Spring Grove; 23 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one daughter and one son, Sarah Brady, Carroll "Sam" Brady, Jr. and a son-in-law, Robert Loder.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 2 p.m. November 2, 2011, at Annunciation Church Cemetery, McSherrystown, with Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Thoms as Celebrant.
