Born in Hanover, he was a son of the late John Peter and Sevilla Laughman. His wife, Senora S. (Reynold) Laughman died March 16, 1965.
He had been employed at the former Topic's Furniture Store, Hanover and was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are eight daughters and sons, Mrs. Carroll Brady, Hanover; Mrs. George Deatrick, 411 Delone Ave, McSherrystown; Wilbur, Water St., Gettysburg; Mrs. Charles Withers, 419 1/2 North St., McSherrystown; Grant, New Oxford R.1; Mrs. Gary Reaver, Hanover; Mrs. Jack Kipple, Spring Grove RD; Roy, Hanover; 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
